Bariatric Weight Loss Surgery Support Group Talks
Lisa provides insight on how to acknowledge and address the emotions around self-sabotage, unhealthy response patterns, weight-loss, and how to re-frame one’s connection to their body.
Through the use of first person stories that are relatable and provide a fresh perspective on old behaviors, demonstrations of EFT, Hypnosis, and Guided Meditation, her audiences are able to connect on a deeper level with themselves in just under an hour.
About Virginia Mason
Established in 1920, Virginia Mason began as an 80-bed hospital with six physician offices. It was named after the daughters of James Tate Mason, MD, and John M. Blackford, MD, who co-founded the clinic with radiologist Maurice Dwyer, MD. The founders’ vision was to provide a single place where patients could receive comprehensive medical care, a “one-stop shopping” place for virtually any medical problem or need. The adjacent photograph features the original staff of physician partners.
Virginia Mason has been accredited by the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program. Central to these efforts is the Bariatric Surgery team consisting of director, Jeff Hunter, MD, Lily Chang, MD, Ravi Moonka, MD, Richard Thirlby, MD, and Bariatric Program Manager, Connie Miller. The team works closely with the Nutrition Center of Excellence to manage the serious health threat of obesity.
